in
Cyberspace
Once upon a time, many years ago ... well in computer terms,
it may as well be ancient history ... there was an Australian computer called
the Microbee. Several hundred thousand were made in
the 1980s and sold to users all over
And some MUG-shots from the 2001 MUG-DK convention:
(same guys – less hair, but we still have
running Bees)
And
believe it or not – we still get together at least once a year to play around
with the good ol’ MicroBee
Here we have the 2002
convention:
Notice the original
MicroBee software package with cassette and all! No
piracy around here!
And enjoy the 2
running Bee’s – one disk-based and one ROM based. In the background one more
being set up.
Yep – there was a
lot of computing power gathered in place that night.
And finally a
MUG-shot of our Grand Old Man. You’ll notice the open Bee in front of him ….
If it’s open – it’s
probably running fine!
